OT - I'm pretty excited about this

4th try at designing a new site. Parts of it are done. But we've been here before. The guy who built one in 2009 didn't actually make it live. Nice, huh?

The new one will be glitzier, in that it is one of my people doing the idea part (marketing is her skill and I'm allergic to it), her son builds sites for a living. It seems kinda pushy to me, but then any kind of marketing does.

I never considered selling space, kinda prided myself on NOT, but maybe it's time to touch down in reality and be able to help those who help me, esp if there is no conflict with each other.

Sooooooooo, who knows a lot about Beagles?

Thank you guys all for your positive feed back. Kat will be dancing on her desk tomorrow.

That will help in that I was picking up my cat from the vet and some girls came in and had rescued 2 adult Beagles running loose way out in the country and had no place to park them.

Er, well, I have the laundry room. Surely my 2 dogs and 7 cats won't mind? They are well behaved, but I think Don will strangle me when there are no witnesses. The girls said they'd come back to get them to take to a shelter, but we're going to try to find the beagle pure bred rescue. these are very well behaved "bought" dogs, so somebody is crying their eyes out tonight.

Nope, they're not chipped.

You are such a nice lady.
I'd suggest you check on Craig's List for a post about the lost beagles.  You could also post a free one under "lost and found" but be sure to make the responding people describe something specific about them.  I've reunited many lost pets using the free CL posts.

If you don't find the owners promptly, and you are willing/able, call the shelter and make a 'found' report rather then taking them there.  (Unless it is a no kill shelter.)
You had a great idea to contact a Beagle rescue group.  I know at least the one in CA is great and have a friend that has adopted from such a group several times.

I hope this story has a happy ending with joyously wagging tails.

Kim

P.S. - you are an angel!  How could Don strangle you for such a loving disposition???

I put them on our local freecycle groups, which technically is a no-no, but maybe the post will be seen before they pull it.

They're on Craigs list and I found the local beagle rescue.

The girls who found them are sposta be calling the other rescue groups in the area.

Here, technically, you are sposta surrender found animals immediately. These girls took them, but the place was closed, even tho there is sposta be someone on call and they saw him inside.

So, they are safe here for a few days. I might not be since my husband thinks we're already on overload.

Tracked the one tag today via the county, but no answer at that phone. The girls who found them showed up today and said they'd take them to the local no kill. However, one of my employees went bonkers over them, so since I have a mega crate and toys and all, she took them home for the weekend. She has a big fences yard and a dog that could use playmates. I have invisible fence, so kinda hard to train them to that for a day.

I will continue to call the number and if nothing by Monday, the finders will take them to the no kill.

They were so adorable and well mannered, that it's a god thing she took them. They even mingled with mydogs and cats like they'd been here forever

I was so excited when I saw this that I ran to the other room the tell my husband! I'm scheduled for surgery in a little less than 3 weeks and was just trying to figure out just what I needed from you... This is amazing! Thank you!
