OT - I'm pretty excited about this

OMG! You made my day. I feel like I look like a corpse. The stress has taken my nice, my patience and my healthy glow away.

I went in for a routine eye exam and they found a torn retina, which was just starting to detach, so had to have emergency surgery right then.

It's almost like Don got all this attention and now MY body wants a share. UTI's, my auto-immunes acting up, all the routine stuff this time of year (dentist, eyes, dexas, boob squish, etc) and now I'd be having bladder surgery, but I keep getting UTI's. Can't I just go to sleep and wake up WELL?

Thing is, on my labs, all the nutritional values look fine, even by my standard, but some of the medical stuff is acting weird. Stress. It eats you alive. But the part of me that does the vites and has the passion for WLS still functions. So, we are still preparing for the trip. I just hope I don't look dead, since I'm fair, but normally look healthy and I don't buy that in a jar. LOL

On the Vitalady website under Pricilla's corner you will see "New 1 click DS & BPD Starter" Click that and you will get a list of vitamins to choose from in one place. Hope that helps!

Great addition!  Hopefully, there aren't too many BPD folks still out there! Hope Don is feeling better.  Big hugs for rescuing the beagles.

I debated how to list it, but many docs still use BPD/DS. And yes, there are gobs of original BPD or Scopinaros out there.

When our yahoo Grad list started, ppl had to be 1+ yrs out, so the first members were a big batch of 97-98 BPD's from the DS area. There was another doc in KY doing them, too. My doc did them up til maybe 1991 and there are some here done by a doc now retired, so b ack maybe 25 yrs ago?

Somehow they found me and we've got things tweaked now, but it was a rough ride at first.

how many never fund me and got reversed, revised, I'll never know, but they're still out there.

There are difference in our surgeries, volume and such, but in the end, the shorty common channel bunch has the same needs.

This rocks almost as hard as you do, Michelle! I'm all about the quicky-clicky.

Kudos for Beagle-rescuing. If Don gets fussy, remind him you didn't have him put down when he was down & out.   Send him my best and *hugs* to you, sweet lady.

(For those of you with NO sense of humour, that was a joke!)

Point taken. I'll remind him.

He's all freaked when I bring home strays but you know, when the days comes that they must retire, HE is the one who insists on going with them to the final visit and he hugs and kisses and talks to them all the way there, and holds them, talking baby talk the whole time, while I stay at home and cry.

Anm I seeing you in AR? We haven't decided that part yet. BioTech loves to have us visit their facility in Fayetteville, but it's an extra day.

Probably in Memphis, Michelle, which is only about an hour away. Fayetteville is about a 5 hour drive and I haven't been there in years. That said, if the closest you are is 5 hours, I'm on it like white on rice. ;-)

I think Memphis is there. We have POC there, but Don has them.
