Vitalady Tender Cal-Mag-D3

I started taking this Calcium/Mag/D3 about a month ago, and it has worked well for me getting it down without any stomach discomfort.  I do find my BMs have become a regular morning routine as I've struggled with constipation mostly.  I know the Magnesium will help move things along but I'm also going through a family situation that is very stressful and struggle with eating enough right now so maybe the stress is compounding the frequency.  I'm not complaining about pooping, the changes have just been an oddity for me.

I figured those on the DS board are more apt to know how this calcium/mag/D3 has affected them than posting on another board AND I see Michelle here more often than elsewhere.

As of 10/09 information taken from the manufacturer's product label currently in stock. Substitute product may be sent (without notice), but will have similar values to those listed below. **

Sooo, did you have a question?

Duh me, sorry.

I wanted to know who if anyone takes this specific Vitalady Tender Cal-Mag-D3 and if they have noticed any frequency in bowl movements or less constipation?  I like the fact that I do go daily but not sure if it's the change to this vitamin or stress that may have caused changes in my regular schedule.

I apologize for not asking before.

Ah, gotcha.  Sorry, I just couldn't tell if your post was a question or a commendation!

As for the more regular bowel habits, it probably IS from the cal/mag/D3.  The mag in there is magnesium oxide, which aids in bowel function.  It helps counteract the typical side effect of constipation, that calcium can cause, it also helps absorb the calcium. The D3 is there to also aid in the absorption of the calcium.  But, yes, the mag is what is helping you along in the "going" department :)  Good stuff!

Hi ,

I take these one's too as I always suffer from constipation from my calcium otherwise. I still need to take extra Mag at times to help with the constipation despite having a 65cm common channel lol

I take WAY more Mag Oxide than that to keep me going.  I take 400 with every Calcium dose and that is SIX doses a day.

I take it separate because if for some reason (crappy eating) I get a loose BM, I skip a Magnesium Oxide which gets me back to normal.

I also take Magnesium Citrate separately and of course I take Dry Vit D (100,000 a day).

Without the Mag Oxide I would be in BIG TROUBLE.

Oh THIS was the post you were referring to...:)

I have been fighting loose stools since day one, and so I had to drop this combo version for her straight Cal Citrate only pills. Then, I take extra Mag Citrate on the side, which doesn't contribute to loose stools.
Duodenal Switch hybrid due to complications.
