thank you to those that came forward to admit they also have this problem as I have felt alone & scared and I know it's easy for others to judge when they don't really understand the dilemna.

 I had big problems swallowing vitamins as a pre-op, and it took me several months to get myself up to speed post-op.    Now I can't believe how much I can swallow at a time  - I can swallow six calcium tablets!    My DH whines that he just *can't* gag down one glucosamine and I just laugh in his face, LOL.   It does get better, but you do have to train yourself.    Taking them with a large amount of water does the trick for me.   At first when our tummys are so small, it seems so overwhelming and even now, I can't take them after a meal - I have to wait an hour or so.    

Also - there are lots of other ways to take our calcium.    I buy UpCal D powder and chewable calcium from Vitacost.  No they are NOT tasty, but they increase my compliance.
