Have two weeks to up Vit D...
It's not high if you only have a level of 19! Dr. Peters cuts us a shorter common channel than most surgeons. We have a lot of malabsorption. Optimum D levels are supposed to be like around 100......we have to really supplement aggressively to get there. Go to www.vitalady.com and order the Dry D3. They come in 50,000IU capsules. Because of our malabsorption we can't go toxic on it.

I have suspected that I will have to maintain that value for life Post-op.
I just want to make sure I am not doing something that will harm me just to get my levels up in the 14 days necessary.
It sounds as though I am on track from what you ladies are saying.. so I will go with it.
I did let my surgeons nurse know that I was taking that level as well.
Thank you for taking the time to respond !

I thank you for your input... and yes.. right now it is simply a box to check.
I will cross the next bridge when I am in sight of it and aware of what it will take to cross it. Right now my goal is to up my D enough to even get a surgery date scheduled.
I am up against time at this point, due to change jobs and change insurance, due to lose 160 hours of vacation time I have saved jsut for this, as soon as they mentioned my D was low I started taking more of it.... I need to get this thing scheduled and then I will focus on the Therapeutic aspect of it.
I am wondering if most of the people responding have noticed that I am Pre-op still.. So the pooping the vitamins out or not being able to get enough in is still on the horizon.
