Hate-o-rade!!!

It is sad when that happens. I have lost a few friends because of issues since my WLS. In fact one of them had surgery before I did and I was her biggest champion and so happy for her to look and feel better. Then when I had my WLS and got down to her size she got catty and rude. Once I had my tummy tuck all hell broke loose and now we don't talk any more, my choice because of all the really mean things she was saying and how it made me feel.
I know it hurts and maybe once you've settled in with your weight, your friend will get used to it. Maybe not, but either way, there will be other friends you make along your journey who will be more supportive and encouraging! Good luck and be happy within yourself that you are on the road to feeling GREAT! Screw the jealous *****es and don't let them bring you down!

 One of my favorite clerks at the grocery store asked me if I had cancer......

I just said no.  The weight loss was intentional.

I have had a few comments.. not that many, i guess I am not that nice of a person... I am really sorry you are getting that from people that you thought were your friends no matter what... hopefully they will come to their senses.. If not then you were better off.... Hope they come around for your sake!!!

yes its true, snide comments, sneers, i had a family member totally ignore me at a function, i catch people staring at me, my good friend said it best, you not the jolly fat girl in the group any more and people cant handle it! my sister even said you made people address something they were not ready to deal with which is their own weight issues, i told people i had gall bladder surgery at first because when i tried to tell a friend she was not supportive at all. my family had no idea what exactly i did till they visited me in the hospital. this does not have to be you but just know that some people have problems with change in general, aside from being nosey or curious, there are more friends to be made and people who will be happy for the new you,  just enjoy the ride and good luck in your wls journey...
