I think I will deactivate- darn

The first day I posted here I got the creepy message I am posting below.  Are there any Private boards where anyone in the world can't see our posts?  It says it is a deactivated member and I guess others have gotten these messages.  I hope others did not fall for this.  I was enjoying it here, but I am creeped out.....

I have a group that I have been posting on for almost 10 years, but it is private!  It is so cool.  To bad trolls mess up these public boards!!!

 You need to report that so they can remove and stop that stuff. It's spam and they don't care if you've been here a week or a year, most of tha crap comes out of Nigeria. Just report it and then ignore. It's really no different then you getting something like that in your e-mail. 

Just throw it away. Don't deactivate for something like that.
It means nothing.

I have gotten them and ask about them on here.... they have been reported but the problem is like with email... as soon as you get it they have already deactivated and can't be traced... just delete them and ignore them... Sorry I cannot give you better news but that is what OH and others on here have told me....

I agree with Inge- I have only gotten one of those types of messages since signing up in Nov 2010.  It shouldn't happen often- but it may happen again.  I keep my email private and I ony get notifications from this site- I would just make sure that your personal email cannot be accessed.

I've only gotten them like twice, I wouldn't deactivate bc of it. Just report and ignore.

yuck! that would creep me out too! funny im probably jinxing myself but ive been a member for 6 yrs and have never received one. BUT dont deactivate! and to think i was gonna ask you to put some pics on your profile so we could see your beautiful face! well you probably dont want to do that now! also im not sure if it makes a difference on spam but you can set your profile to private so only your friends can view it. hope that help:)

It's called spam. Do you deactivate your email account every time you get a spam message? Just ignore it.

Delete it and learn a bit more about the internet. This was nothing to get even the slightest bit worked up about.

You are kidding right?  If you are serious about deactivating over this then I don't know what to say.
