Duodenal switch in Maryland

 Hey any Marylanders out there had or plan to have  DS performed? I’m seeking information on Dr.s in the area. Thanks

Closest one that does it laparoscopically and in 1 step, rather than 2 steps, is Dr Hazem Elariny in Vienna, VA if you're south of Baltimore. You might want to check out www.dsfacts.com for the surgeon list there and other great info while you're there. Dr V is in Baltimore but not too many folks have used him lately. He also only does the DS as an open procedure.

I live Harford County and had my DS with Dr. Greenbaum in NJ.  It's a 2 hour drive for me to NJ.

 Ditto what MajorMom posted.  Dr. Elariny in VA is the closest for a single stage lap DS.  Dr. Vanguri in Baltimore does the DS, but only as an open procedure.  Other than those two, you are looking at NY, NJ, OH, PA, NC as the next closest options.
