(upper GGI) pre-op?  I am wondering if Dr. Smith will reqire this so I can go ahead and book it.  They will not tell me what they require until one test comes back that determines if I have a comorbidity and I can be a patient.  Thanks for any info!  Mel

You should wait until you find out EXACTLY what he wants.

I had to have a top and bottom look-see as part of my clearances. Doc prefers to have as few surprises as possible :-).

Like EN, I got an upper and lower GI...  Pretty sure they tried to just run it straight through me from one end to the other though, good grief!

I did not need to have one, so didn't.

Good luck in finding a comorbidity (funny as that sounds, haha).   I had multiple comorbidities.

Don't some Drs make everyone get certain tests?  Maybe a  Dr. D. Smith patient will see this and know.  Thanks for sharing what you all did or did not have to do.

What is it they are or are not looking for with the upper GI stuff?

Thanks, Melanie
