Hi Everyone!  All is well.  I'm deep in to the Doctorate Program, finishing up class number 4 of 12...   I like it so far.... and am hoping the energy and the finances hold out long enough for me to finish!  I'm maintaining my weight loss within a 10 pound window...  when I'm too high, I low carb it for a few weeks, and I'm back on target, so far, it's working well....  I'm still faithful with the vitamins and if I'm too busy too eat correctly, I make high protein, high fat choices...  I'm doing a lot of the Wendy's grilled chicken with fruit salads....almonds in it too....  yep, a lot of carbs, but mixed with protein and fats, so its a better choice than a burger for me!    Works been busy, but I'm grateful for a steady job with good health benefits, so I rarely complain...  and the love life's going well, so all in all....  nothing bad, just a BUNCH of self induced stress, from wanting it all and wanting it now!!!!    I don't get here to read too often, and we've been blocked at work...  so If you have a 2 parter that needs advice, give them my name...I'll answer all PM's...and can someone let me know if the NY NJ peeps do a get together!  I miss you all, and want to stay in touch!  How's Jass's baby...must be getting big?  Has Tom run in anything lately?  What's Nicole up to?  Is EN having as much FUN with school as I am?  Doesn't anyone want to do a dinner in Jersey soon?      Write...  I'm starved for social contact!    Mary  C

HOWDY STRANGER!!!! Good to see a life sign from you :-). I'm on semester break, have been for almost a month, and am headed for Montana a week from tomorrow, not to return till August 23. I'm getting the hell OUTTA summer in NJ.

Dang, you are up to your ears in life my dear! What a marvelous thing eh? How's Number One Niece doing?

a trip to Montana sounds wonderful!!!!!!  hope you post pictures.....  Lynn Bee is doing phenom at work, but her health is a wreck.....  the additional surgeries didn't seem to fix the adhesion's....  they're back again and it hasn't even been 2 months....  DR Pomps been good to her, but he's at a loss how to 'fix' her....   she's dating a wonderful guy for 1+ years now, he's good at helping with her health advocacy in her frequent ER trips, has read and understands the DS, and is careful with her food needs, he's a keeper!      Enjoy your summer, and maybe we'll have a get together before winter!   Mary C

Aw man :-(. I'm so pleased that she has good things going on in other aspects of life, particularly since she just can't seem to get a break on the health front. Please give her my best when you speak to her or see her.

Yup, I broke down and got a new camera for this trip! Just an el cheapo digital, but enough to provide a record of events. I was bummed to not have one of my own last summer. I have found a lovely new niche in my church work, visiting our elderly and infirm members, usually in assisted living residences. From that I've made friends with a group of ladies, not all from our congregation, who come to our Thursday morning services where they live. I've promised them a photo diary and worked out an email update plan with the activities director :-).
