Google DOCS LAB SPREADSHEET
ok let me try this LINK to the GOOGLE DOCS spreadsheet . . I sent it to Michelle Curran also in email so let's see if it works here too. If it does, please give me your input. I dont have pre-op labs as AZWLS said they couldn't find them. UGH :(

Worked! First, the red, yellow, green are color codes for the labs you're following. Green is great, yellow is warning and red is for trouble.
Your doc will probably flip over your B12. lol It's a little up there. Your protein and albumin could use a little work. The D3, calcium and PTH are showing trouble. You want that D3 to come up to near 100. You want to increase your calcium citrate at the same time to bring your calcium and PTH down (lower is better in some cases).
How much iron and what kind are you taking?

what is PTH?
I was not taking any iron - I am taking the Celebrate chewable C with iron now when I first wake up a few hours before I actually get up and start the others. I didn't take any iron before these labs as my surgeon said to have infusions instead as I was having trouble taking pills and was only doing the GUMMEVITES the first 3 months before I discovered Celebrate chewables.
I do agree I was borderling with the 100 grams of protein for awhile but I am on top of that now as I leaened upping protein also helps with stalls and I work hard on it all day.
I also am taking the Celebrate chocolate candy calcium tho I also have it in their chewables and I have some other liquid & powder too I have bought and can vary it. I was taking the VL's calcium awhile putting the capsule's ingredients in water.
I am taking the VL VitD 50,000

OK, I read in another thread that you did not get very good feedback on your labs and felt bad for ya, so I went looking for your post and I'm bumping this. I can give a little bit of feedback as to the reasons for the low responses:
1. It's hard to read. The columns are not fully expanded, and I had to download the actual excel file in order to do so.
2. The color-coding is making no sense to me. Colors draw your eye to the values, and some of the ones colored looked fine to me? I am thinking you got the file from someone and did not delete the colors and just went along with it.
3. Too many columns. I have to scroll over to see the range to compare them to the value (at least on my computer). I wish they were right there. Again, I had to open the excel file and delete several unnecessary columns to read them easily.
4. You didn't have complete labs run, so it's hard to comment. No vit A, K, copper, ceruloplasmin, methymalonic acid, etc etc....
As for the actual results:
Like Gina said, protein and albumin could be better, but are not too shabby. Just keep putting protein first and I'd expect those to go up since you're only 3 mos out. Prealb could totally better--any chance there was just a lot protein intake within the few days before labs? Prealb is the first to see the protein deficiency...so hopefully the albumin won't follow.
One of your liver enzymes is mildly elevated (ALT). I would not be too concerned about this yet, as many times liver enzymes will go up during massive weight loss. You can try taking a supplement called milk thistle/silymarin. It is an herb that is very well studied which can support liver function. Just keep making sure to follow the basic rules...no alcohol or anything else that stresses the liver and all should be gravy by the time the rapid weight loss is done.
Your PT/INR confuses me, because the PT is slightly elevated and the INR is low. Low INR indicates a higher risk for clots, high PT indicates slower clotting...lol...kinda backwards. So ya, not an expert there, so that confuses me!
Lipid panel, I am assuming is showing some improvement. Don't worry about the triglycerides, it can take a few months to a year for complete improvement in those levels.
Folate good...high B-12 not a big deal, but if you are taking a really expensive supplement, you can back off a couple days per week and probably be fine.
Zinc on the high end, makes me wonder about the copper. They have a yin/yang relationship.
Serum iron could totally be better. Luckily you are not yet showing signs of anemia in your CBC and your ferritin isn't pitiful yet. Still time to save that one if we can. Time for a supplement if you aren't already. As for how much, at least 300mg elemental iron (not ferrous sulfate) is recommended for post ops. If you use heme iron (proferrin) the iron is not comparable in mgs because heme is more bioavailable.
Oh, and as Gina said, vit D could always be better.
Hope that helps. Try to get the full panel next time :)

thank you- actually I did get a full panel as far as insisting the doctor include the VL's full list but the lab goofed up on something and I had to go back for another vial and so the Vit A and a few others should be resent to me soon. . .is that what you mean?
thank you for your input and no I wasnt doing iron as Dr said we could do infusions as I had trouble with pills. I do have some chewbles with iron I tool in the morinng before rising for awhile last month but the taste wasgetting to me so I stopped. .
Yes I did copy that spreadsheet someone gave me but didnt see aprob when it displayed so maybe next time I will write it all out. Yes the colors highlighted were already on there. I havent figued out the spreadsheet yet I guess.
No I didnt increase protein just prior to the labs but I did increase it not long ago when someone told me that upping protein would break stalls and it works and I have done it ever since.
