difference in Magnesium?

 Good Morning Friends!
I have a quick question about Magnesium.  I recently ordered a bunch of vites from Vitalady.  On the order form, and on the vite schedule it had "Tender Mag Citrate" (Which I thought I ordered). They came last night.  As I was sorting and putting them together this morning in realized they sent me "Tender Mag Oxide" (250mg elemental). Apparently I clicked the wrong button.  :(   Since I already opened the bottle can I just use them in place of the "Tender Mag Citrate"?  I hate to waste that money as purse strings a VERY tight.

Thank you for your wise guidance,
~Ginger~

Mag oxide will help with slow stool. It won't really do much of anything else. I'd say it's harmless, but if it makes you poop more than you want, then, no.

If that is not an issue, then it's harmless. It just doesn't do the same thing mag citrate does.

Many have both in their arsenal.

I take both.  I take a Mag Oxide with every Calcium dose and it prevents constipation for me.  I take Mag Citrate also with every Calcium dose for my bones.

So I would say keep the Oxide in case you find you are getting constipated once you are taking all your calcium citrate and iron and get some mag citrate for your bones.
