I'm approved!

Well, after about 2 or 3 weeks, I have been approved the first time around. No appeals. I am utterly shocked. I think I owe my biggest thanks to Danielle at Dr Warden's office.

She has been great. I fly back to school September 2nd, so I won't be able to have the surgery before then. But, I have first shot at a date in December. So I will be switched then! I don't mind the wait knowing that I'm approved. Thank the Lord. Just wanted to share with all of you. I feel like this is a big victory not just for me but for the DS community in general. Fast approval and no appeals. We are making progress slowly but surely! -- Melody

Welcome to the Fellowship of the Switch, Melody. BTW, what insurance do you have? I, too, had approval for the DS on the first go-round. My insurance carrier at the time was United Health Care. My surgery was 3 years ago. I wish you the best, and have a great semester in Boston. Brenda
