I''m so excited!

I 'm really new to this, but I just had to tell somebody that I thought would care and wouldn't try to talk me out of this. But I got a call today and I've been approved for my surgery!! I don't have a date yet; I have one more appt. with the nutritionist and some others. And after that I have about 3 weeks!

Thank you so much! I do apologize for not replyiing earlier. Things have been so crazy. I go in December 2 for my nutrition appt. And when I talked with my nurse last week they said that they wanted to do it on the 19th of Dec. But I requested the 3rd of January.

Hi Ethel, I guess that I would have opted for the December date--but I also understand that you may want to enjoy the Christmas season. I had a very nice Thanksgiving, but then I am almost nine weeks out--you would still be eating pureed foods for Christmas . Ugh! In any case, you are going to start your New Year right. I'll say a prayer for you to have a good surgery and a quick recovery. Mine was very uneventful. If it wasn't for the scars --I wouldn't think that I had had any surgery at all. Hi Marian, Yea; I've been thinking that it probably wouldn't make a whole lot of difference. After I cooked for Thanksgiving I really didn't want it. It's just that I thought that I would be missing something. I'll just wait to see what the doctor says on Friday. I'm getting a little anxious and nervous. But I've just prayed and asked God to watch over me and bring me through without any complications. And I believe in the power of prayer. And thanks for you prayers also.
