I can't believe I am sick....cough, sore throat, sneezing, achy. I feel like a NyQuil commercial. I am praying that I get better so that my surgery doesn't have to be rescheduled (2/14/06). My doctor's office also called to tell me my pre-op labs shows various infections....one of the infections causes ulcers. I also just got two root canals. I am taking 14 pills a day for the next week. This is soooo frustrating. I'm trying not to think about what else can go wrong. Please keep me in your prayers.

Hi Tippy,
I originally went to my consult with the tought of Lap RNY, after the full consult form the surgeon he explained all procedures with pros and cons. I changed my mind and decided on open RNY, so that I could receive the micropouch with less chance of pouch stretching. With the Wood-Sapala micropouch he explained that the difference in pouch size is that of a grape with the micropouch ans a small lemon with the lap RNY. I think once you talk to your surgeon you will be able to decide which one you think is best for you. Or look at the site in the last post. Sorry so long. DIVA

I was so excited to find out my surgery date is on Valentines until.... my six yr old son told me that Valentines Day is for LOVE, but I don't LOVE him because I am going to die on that day. He is so afraid that I am going to go to the hospital and not come home. His father helped instill some of the fear of me dying, but I don't think I helped any with me looking at the OH Memorial page and freaking out.
I told him that I will be in GODs hands and if it is his will, I will be just fine. I am having the surgery because I LOVE my children and I want to be around for a looooong time. I pray to GOD that he guides my surgeons hands.
It has been so helpful to meet so many people that have had the surgery and made it through safely. Thanks for sharing you experiences.
