Not sure if this helps or not but I am in EXACTLY the same place you are. I am supposed to do all these things but for some reason I just don't want to do it. It is really scaring me that maybe I will not succeed with the surgery. I feel like I fave to eat everything NOW too.

yes, and i try for a couple of days and go right back to my old ways. i am supposed to have a food journal and i am on and off with that too. i have to lose 10 lbs prior to surgery... but honestly i feel like i have to get all my eating in while i still have the chance. i got really depressed when i thought tonight will be the last turky dinner i will ever have
Topic: RE: Looking for Penpal surgery Oct 27!
Just had my surgery 10/18/11 and it is going great. Usually I can ask a question on this site and get an answer and I am the kind of person that needs to know all about whatever it is I am doing. I would be glad to be your pen pal. Yes I was nervous beforehand and I am glad that this site reaffirms and helps me not feel so alone. I love hearing from y'all and meeting new friends that are going through the same thing so feel free to write even if you just need to vent!

Hi I am also Cheryl from Houston (Katy) Tx and I just had my surgery 10/18/11 and I love this site I have learned so much and people are so ready to share their experiences. If you have room for more I would love to be your pen pal I am 56 and was afraid I was too old to do this but now I am so glad I have done it. Losing weight slowly but that is the way I told my doctor I wanted to do it and he did the surgery accordingly. Have chicken and fish always made you sick? Have you tried shrimp ****tail, shrimp is very high in protein. Do you like tunafish? Eggs are a good source of protein too. Are you chewing your food so it is almost pureed and then swallowing it or try putting a little chicken stock in it to help it go down. Do you have a support group in your area that you can go to and talk to others about your problem? Give me a little more info and maybe I or some of the very helpful members can help you. Try to relax and not stress too much over this and things will all work themselves out. If all this fails go to your doctor or nutritionist and find alternatives. Let me know how things turn out.

Wow! It sounds like you are going through a lot. Are you in counseling now? Drop me a note if you need someone to talk to.

Hi miss muffin,
I am further along in my weight loss journey than you. I had my surgery 9 months ago, and have lost 190 pounds since. I have had many experiences since than and will gladly share them with you although, it happened to me before it happened to you. Congratulations on your recent surgery, and look forward to hearing about all your weight loss experiences.
