hi,
im sandie from calif 52 married women. had my gastric bypass aug 31,11. would love to be able to talk with someone else going through the same thing so we can help each other along..having a hard time trying to get food down..a little scared i may be like this forever. chicken and fish make me sick..everything i have read says i should be eating it?????..so would love a pen-pal.

Topic: looking for people to talk with
I am a 37 year old married woman that had lap band in 2007. I did really well for 2 years when the problems started. Unfortunately, I got discouraged and ended up gaining all my weight back. I am now in a new frame of mind and have the support of my husband and family. I am in the process of doing all my insurance requirements and hope to have a revision to sleeve some time in March or April. Would love to hear from others in the same situation or just people that want to talk. I work alot of hours but I like to talk on here and yahoo when time allows.

thanks for the reply, I have to have my whole kidney removed because of where the cancer is located, Congradulations on your choice to have gastric bypass my older sister had that done in July and is doing great. except now she is having problems with her galbladder which i guess that from what she says goes hand in hand with gastric by pass patients. in anycase do you have a date yet?

Well Hi everyone. I am much older than most of you but the one thing I have in common with all of you is I will be having gastric bypass sometime in December. I would love to be a part of your journey. I am 58 years old and could use the support. Hi Laycee my name is Barby and I will be having gastric bypass surgery sometime in December. My brother had a cancerous tumor in one of his kidneys several years ago. They removed the tumor and left the kidney. He did great. Congrats on your lapband. I almost opted for the lapband but changed my mind, I live in Andover Ohio which is 55 miles east of Cleveland. We are only 25 miles from Lake Erie. I will write again. Thanks Barby
