I'm Erica. I'm a newbie at this WLS thing too. I just started my process as well. I have my second appt. with the nutritionist on this coming Friday. I haven't weighed myself because I wanted to see if everything I've been doing since our last meeting has actually worked. Congrats on starting the journey to a healthier you. I will take the time to check out your blog, you seem like a you want this and your fully committed "which is GREAT!".

I have yet to recieve a surgery date....I'm still going through the whole process. I can't waaaaait. 
I need someone to be able to talk to about the thoughts and anticipation. No one understands
and I only told a few people that I'm going to have WLS.

Yes indeed thinking about it gives me butterflies as well and I am scared excited you name it.. I am having the lap band done. And with it coming up I am getting more and more excited and worried. I mean food has always been a big part of my life so now I have to learn not to rely on it that much and plus it’s like learning to eat all over again. I am feeling more confident because I will not fail this. Right now I am doing liquid diet I am supposed to lose 10 pds prior and I have 8 to go..I am frustrated because I am one week away from surgery and my weight isn’t budging. No matter what I do. So I am on the liquid diet to help and have another appt. with my nutritionist to see what else she can suggest because I am working my butt off! Anyway I hope your having a great day!

Hi Kanda. Thank you so much for responding to my penpal ad. I am very happy for you and your upcoming surgery. There has to be so many things going thru your mind right now. Just imagining it gives me butterflies 
, well bumblebees i guess,,,lol. What type of surgery are you having? You will definately be in my prayers. Please feel free to vent on me too. I am so curious as to your feelings now with surgery only days away. Thank you again for responding and i appreciate you sharing with me. christi

I went thru the same thing I had to go thru 6 month supervised diet before I got approved for my surgery. I like you was feeling the same one minute I didn't want it the next I knew its the best thing for me. I have my surgery on Oct 27 and I am nervous and scared but I know that its going to make me healthy. I'll be more then happy to support you and to be here for ya to vent because I compeltely understand!
