Hello my name is Natasha. I had the RNY Feb 2009. I was very anxious as I'm sure you are. Hands down best decision I ever made. I have lost 190lbs total. It is great that you have support as you will need them. The mental changes take longer to take affect than the physical changes. For me I could see my body chaging and becoming smaller but I still seen 370lbs when I looked in the mirror. I would enjoy being part of this journey with you :). My email is [email protected]. Yes i keep looking at the long term!!I have lost 14 pounds so far on opifast......i am just worried about the outcome of my surgery.

How are you. I had my surgery July 28/11 so far I have lost 150lbs I went from a size 24 to a size 6. I feel amazing. On the opfast you can get hungry, but it is in your mind, you are so used to eating it some times is hard to change our eating habits. I was a size 24 now I wear a size 6 (small) I feel amazing no more medicial problems they just disappeared. You will do good keep in touch

Wow 140 pounds thats wonderful..i have my surgery on Sept 21/12 , i am feeling very scared...i am on the opifast now and omg i am hungry..lol.

How exciting that your surgery date is almost here...I know you must be anious, nervous excited? (I know I was! I had my RNY on April 16, 2012 and have never been happier about my decision! I would love to be your penpal...my email is [email protected] and if you write me there, I could give you my address for mail if you'd like. It's always nice to have someone to talk to, as in the beginning stages, eerything seems so surreal and different! Best of luck!

I'm looking for penpals from anywhere to share in starting this journey. I"m scheduled for RNY at the end of September. I'm incredibly nervous! I'm mid-30s with no human children (but two precious dog-kids) I have a supportive husband and a few friends who know about my surgery. I'd like to talk to people who have been through this. I'm open to anywhere in the world!
