Mike's Surgery Update

I just got back from seeing Mike in the hospital. As you know, he had his surgery yesterday afternoon. He' doing well , still a little groggy but his sense of humor is wide awake - he asked one of the nurses if she was married , LOL!! He'll be in ICU probably until Monday. He wants to thank you all for your prayers and best wishes and is looking forward to getting back online to thank you personally.

ICU????? why is he in ICU? did he have more than RNY? let him know he is in our thoughts/ heather

Heather, as far as we know being in ICU is standard procedure after surgery. In any case, he knew we would be in ICU for a couple of days before surgery. He's doing fine and I'm sure he's there only so they can keep a closer eye on him. I will let him know that he's in your thoughts, along with everyone else's. :thumbsuup:

Thanks for letting us know. I'm glad to hear he made it through the surgery and is doing well. Did he know he was going to be in ICU or was that a surprise? He is in my prayers. Betty

Just to let you know, Mike knew he would be in ICU for a couple of days, it was not unexpected. I guess they just want to keep a closer eye on him for a couple of days, as far as anyone knows he's not having any problems that would keep him in ICU, it's just to keep an eye on him.
