So, can anyone tell me if we are allowed to have the Imodium A/D liquid form? I have already taken it.. so I hope so... If not, can someone give an alternate suggestion that I can go get?

I don't see why you can't take it. My doctor just says to stay away from stuff that will irritate the lining of the pouch. Like Aspirin and Ibuprofen. Imodium should be OK.

If you can't get in touch with your surgeon -- ask the pharmacist. Just tell him/her the other medications you cannot take and he will be able to tell you if there is anything similar in the Imodium or if it is in a similar class. Red

I got ahold of Dr. Jawad's office last night. Imodium A/D is ok, but it really just removes all water from the colon. Kaopectate serves as a "bulking agent" and will help to get rid of any stomach bug or bacteria much faster than Imodium. So I went and got some Kaopectate! Just in case someone else is going or will be going thru my perdicament right now!
