No More Coumadin...Yippee!!!!
OMG!!! It happened a month sooner than I expected...but finally after almost 2 years of being on Coumidin with monthly blood checks and bruising, etc. I am finally able to STOP!!! Woo-Hoo
It was so funny, my neurologist asked my why I was on both coumadin and Plavix and I told him I was on the coumadin before the PFO closure and was told to continue it and was put on the Plavix to prevent clots on the device. He said well who ever put you on the coumadin....I was like....YOU DID!!! My PCP had taken my off last summer and that lasted about oh, 2 weeks...before the neuro said get back on until we get the PFO situation cleared up, well now it is. And finally, finally I'm OFF! I have to stay on Plavix, because there is still a tiny bubble crossing over on the shunt study, but at least I'm down one medication.

Well, I'll be off the Topomax in July, I just have to slowly go off that, but that wasn't for a co-morbity, it was actually to help me lose weight. And as for the Plavix..well that's because I was born with a PFO, can't help I had a birth defect...so I pretty much already feel like I am on no medications because of my weight. All the sleep apnea and high BP have been resolved since 2004!!!

Hi,
I saw it the other day I was going to tell you that you had something on your nose.
BTW...I'm taking the suit back to target, I got bottoms in but they don't make the look...and for the total I can get a super cute suit at LB with my discount. It's just that the skirt with the attached briefs doesn't hang right over my hips and doesn't go all the way up to my waist so then there is a gap and my belly shows.
I see the surgeon on Monday...fingers crossed. I have done EVERYTHING. Got my new psych clearance on Monday, labs, nutrition class, cardiac clearance...and lost between 10-15 more lbs in the 6 weeks since I saw her last. (depends on what her scale wants to say that day). Thinking about doing the apple/water diet this weekend just to make sure it's 15lbs.
Nah...I know that's not good and she will be estatic with 10. Heck if I really want a revision I shouldn't lose too much on my own...but hey I'm still on the Tompamax also...and that helps.
Sarah
