massive complication. can anybody help me? this is an EMERGENCY!!!
I was having problems for the last week or so, PB-ing everything I ate, although it would go in waves, sometimes able to eat, others not. starting last thursday, I haven't been able to eat a single thing without PB-ing. Friday, I ate one bite of dinner and spent the rest of the evening in bed, moaning from the pain, and PB-ing for hours. In the middle of the night, I woke up and immediately began vomiting, a brown, mucous-like liquid. I felt a little better and went to sleep. On Saturday morning, I woke up with excruciating pain in my stomach, it feels like my stomach is held in a very tight vise, and if I try and drink anything, even plain water, it immediately feels like my stomach has just been punched, and I PB up for about a half hour all of whatever I just drank. It's going on four days now without anything to eat and only approximately 4 oz of water per day that I choke down, with great pain. Has anyboyd else experienced this? Please help me! I'm scared that something is really, really wrong.

Did you receive the Lap Banding (Update profile) & which hospital did you go to.
Well get to that emergency room now if you feel you can't wait till tomorrow. But DO call his service right now. I had a Hernia twisted around my intestines and almost died.
Your brand new don't hesitaite if your not feeling good to call. I almost died.
Welcome to Meltsville, Mike
i hope you're not sitting around waiting to *read* a dx online, and are actually sitting in an er somewhere, waiting for an *irl* prognosis.
good luck to you-if your estimates on intake are correct, you are sorely dehydrated and definitely sounds like your pain could be hernia related-alas, i am not a dr, and only play one on tv...
*gentle hugs*

Call your surgeon IMMEDIATLEY!!! Definitley sounds like you are way TOO TIGHT!!! I've had the band and what your describing definitley sounds like it is way too tight. If you haven't had a fill yet then maybe a possible slippage. If you keep throwing up you can most likely cause the band to slip. Well the actual band doesn't slip the stomach comes up through the band. They fix this by removing all fluid and letting the tummy rest for awhile. DO NOT EAT SOLIDS. Especially after you Pb!!! Always, Always go back to liquids for the rest of the day!! You need to see your surgeon IMMEDIATLEY!! The ER usually has NO CLUE on how to treat the band. Though they can try to unfill it most places are unsuccessful!! Don't wait anymore!!
