I messed up so bad.. I need your help.
I need some help reassurance. I had surgery in Missouri- 3/01. Did great lost total 125. Then I decided I didn't need to do anything I was suppose to do... got over confident... My vitamisn and protein are good.. Ihad all of that checked by a doctor. But have had 2 moves,,South Carolina and in Florida for a uear now.. Long story short.. I have gained almost 40 pounds back. I am in tears,, I don't know any one here .. I have a job I hate so I am depressed with it, with the weight gaina nd I am almost 50 and raising a 2 yr old which is exhausting. Can anyone recomemnd anything including a protein drink that I can start and not gag on... PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!
Deb, I don't mean to jump on you from the start but you have not fill in anything in your profile so we don't any history to go by.
You need to get back to the total basis your surgeon had you on. Probably just protein and zero calorie drinks. It sounds as your getting enough exercise but step that up by walking more maybe get the little ones walking to like in the evening to wear them out to go to bed without whining. Giving you a peaceful evening to relax. The walking & relaxing will relieve your stress. Which is a down factor.
Start looking for a better job too. You need to stay positive. If your able too come to the OH conference, it will help you meet others and to network your talents.
Hope this was a kick in your butt, Mike
hey hun!!! congrats on the WL and welcome to fl... i have never likes protein drinks so i didne drink them... about the job... what kind of job is it? what are you more interested in? rasing a 2 yoa child is exhausting for anyone.... i need an excersise buddy... but unfortaunlly your way far... i think you know what you need to do and we will be here to support you through it... good luck!

bariatriceating.com has an achieve mocha java and other flavored drink that is very yummy. Try also anywhey, they sell that too, a powder that is unflavored.
Deb.....just pull up your boot straps, and go back to the basics. Protein, fruits and veges. No white carbs or empty calories.
If there is not a local bypass group, then join TOPS (tops.org), local weight loss support groups much cheaper than ww. You need weekly accountability.
You can do this. Don't weep over what is done, use your energy on changing things now and getting that weight off. You can do this, I know you can.

Deb,
I'm not sure where Greenacres is, but I assume you're in central or south FL, not near me. Try to find a wls support group nearby and make some wls buddies. Go back to the basics on your food, protein first, veggies & fruit - stay away from white carbs & sugars. If you can make it to the OH conference in Ft. Lauderdale, Aug. 19 it would be a wonderful chance for you to meet some wls folks and make new friends. I went last June & had a great time & have stayed in touch with many new friends. I'm going again in Aug. & would love to meet you.
As for your job... Try looking around for something you'd rather do. It is always easier to find a job when you've got a job but nothing says you can't be on the lookout for something better!
You've been successful with your wls, so you know you can do it. Now it is time to begin again, but I have faith in you & your "tool". It is still there, you just have to go back to the pouch rules and let your tool work for you! Good luck!!

Hi Deb,
Self-sabotage - we're all experts at how to return to the familiar state of fatness.
If you have the current issue of OH Magazine, I have an article on "THE KEY TO OVERCOMING SELF-SABOTAGE."
I'm also going to be speaking on that subject at the OH Ft. Lauderdale conf. 8/19 - 1st thing in the morning, actually.
I'll be giving FREE coaching consults throughout the day, too.
Please intro yourself to me if you attend!
All the best,
Lauralyn

Deb, hows it going, Boynton Beach here, not far from you. Dont do this to yourself. Think back to the reasons you had the surgery in the first place, how much better you felt both mentally and physically when you lost all that weight. Dont ruin what you've done, nothing is worth that. If you want to talk, feel free to write back, my wife Amy and I are always looking for new friends. Take care.

Thanks to all of you that responed to my "cry for help". I am making small- babysteps- and seem to be doing well. No cokes, no alcohol. Have begun my vitamins again. I am eating smaller portions and feel like I am hungry- but I guess it is that wicked Head hunger. I don't want to make all the changes at one time and then drop it all. AS far as the job goes, have an interview next Friday and have sent out 20 resumes, applications etc. Hubby says quit by end of August regardless, but I don't know. I know that I still have a lot of problems and some are psychological at this point. Just can keep trying and thats all. Thank you for the help.
