I am going to possibly be getting a revision done by dr Overcash. The Dr had indicated that he might not be able to get to my pouch because of scar tissue. Is this common. He said that he should be able to get to the puch. has any ran into this problem and how did this affect you revisio. Any other info that you may have about revision would be helpfull.

Tina - I have known OC for quite some time and he knows his stuff!!! He has tons of revisions. How are you being evaluated..first you said he won't be able to get to the pouch and then you say he will..so I'm confused. Scar tissue development is common with any any type of surgery so that is quite possible. I encouarage you to join OC online support group as they are 2 nurses on our group forum and may be able to give some thoughts on this..the link is: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/floridabariatriccenterwlssupportocala/ Keep us posted on your journey!! Hi Tina. My name is Crystal and I had a revision done by Dr. Overcash on June 14, 2006. Mine was a revision from VBG to RNY. I didn't have too much scar tissue but my original staple line was broken down so much that he had to do repair on that before he could do the RNY. My husband was kinda freaking out in the waiting room because he knew his surgery took 45 minutes with Dr. O. (he had RNY in 2002) but because mine was a revision it took over 2 hours. He kept forgetting that it would be longer. Dr. O is a great surgeon and I'm glad I went to him. Good luck on your revision.
