Hey Melissa, I just had my surgery a couple weeks ago, so the main things I needed was chapstick, pajamas, slippers. I wasn't able to concentrate enough to read or do anything bu****ch tv and walk. Best wishes on your surgery I hope everything goes smoothly. Patty

Hey, Most hospitals will give you the non-slip sockes to wear and a cheap toothbrush and toothpaste. I took a night gown and panties but because I had drains it was easier to wear the ones the hospital gave me. So I did not mess up my pretty stuff. I took alot of stuff. I USED my lip balm, saline spray for my dry sinuses and a pillow to brace my tummy for the ride home. I wore home the clothes I came to the hospital in - nice long cotton jersey dress. I would take as little as possible. But the lip balm and pillow are MUSTS!! Terri

Melissa, Robe (used the hospital gowns) slippers or ask for "slipper socks" at the hospital chapstick my own pillow in an unmistakable pillowcase (an old "kids" pattern works great) Wear soft, loose clothes to the hospital & wear the same thing home. Slip on shoes (without socks / hose) If you wear glasses, be sure to bring a case to store your glasses. Good luck with your surgery! Vickie J.

I would also add to leave at home ANY valuables. This includes wallet, purse, wedding bands, jewelry, and money. Anything that can be taken from you will be taken from you if you are not careful. Sad to say, but it is the truth. Sheryl
