i'm trying, really i am! but the most i can drink in a day is about 1/2 a gallon of water. i'll be 2 wks post surgery on friday and i can only eat about 1-1/2 oz per meal (which i'm not complaining). the only thing is, is that i get so full from drinking all the liquids now, i can't seem to get a full gallon down. it's so frustrating.

I am 2 weeks post ops tomorrow. I am having the same problem. I am also sleeping in the mornings which gives me less time to get food and water in at a good rate. I have dry mouth which makes me want to chug the bottles of water down, however if I drink to much it hurts and sometimes comes up...Yuk! I figure its normal till we get a good idea of how to use are tool. We are rookies...LOL!

Hi Jamie, Like Alexa wrote, it is normal. Everyone has to work their way up to their nut's recommended ounces of water. Sip sip sip, do your best and that is enough. Hugs, Kristen

Don't know if this helps but my nut said I could have crystal lite. I've been freezing the lemonade in 4 oz cups and then having "popsicles". I take it in slower and it's refreshing. I'm 2 weeks out also so share your frustration. It's a challenge but my doc said if I didn't stay hydrated I could end up back in the hospital (which I hate!). Hang in there. 8-)
