First do you have a Restraunt Card from your Surgeon or the ObesityHelp one they sell on here in the OH Shop? It asked the Manager of the restraunt your in for a discount or smaller portains. But I know with the Card, Sweet Tomatoes & Golden Corral will charge you the Childs Price instead of the Adult Price. But still be sure to watch not only what your eatting but the portains too. Good Luck & be sure to have fun enjoying the new you, Mike

Hi Alicia, This is my routine on what I do when I go to restaurants, which I love love to do!! I scan the menu for anything that is broiled, if no luck then I opt for a Shrimp coctail in the appetizers that usually will fill me up. AppleBee's is good they have weigh****cher meals, and if its too much to eat, then ask for a doggy bag and take it back for a snack or another meal!! Salads and soups are always a good option. I can't hold much but still have to eat the 6 meals so to my family, I run around and eat all the time !!! Good luck and have fun!

Buffets - If you show your Card (and if needed explain what your surgery allows now) most buffet places will allow you to Buy as though you were going to take the food elsewhere to eat. In a Take-Out contain and pay by the pound. Then nibble with those you went there with but take the rest home.

Letting any eating establishment know of your surgery is a personal option, should you want to go use "the card" to get a child's portion. Some places honorthem, others do not. Should you want to go to a steakhouse or similiar just order an appetizer or get a small portion and eat what you can, use the rest as a 2nd meal. Usually I get a 6oz or 7oz steak with potatoes or something I can eat there and what I leave over I take with me..no need to tell anyone about my biz. As I said - it's a personal choice to reveal or not. Best of luck to you. Buffets, and chinese/japanese restaurants (that don't allow you to take left overs) for us post-ops are a bit waste of money.
