In need of Primary Care Physician that supports WLS...

I'm looking for a PCP that accepts Humana Choice HMO- High Option that supports WLS and is accepting new patients in the Ft. Lauderdale area. I'm hoping to have my surgery done by either Dr. Wayne English or Dr. Carrasquilla at Florida Medical Center. My current PCP does not want me to have WLS. When I asked him about WLS in April, his response was, "You're so young. You can do this on your own. Oprah did it!" I wanted to slap him, LOL!!!!!! He put me on a 1200 calorie diet and Meridia. As we all know, Meridia is no good. It makes me feel awful and it's too expensive. I have researched WLS for 2 years now and I'm ready to proceed. I've already had my psychological evaluation and I have an appointment to discuss a referral and for a physical with my PCP on Monday, July 12th. I think he's going to give me the run around again. Someone please help!
