I am 9 months post op and down 121 pounds but the last 3 weeks I have been hungry and even managed to eat more than I have since my surgery. Has anyone else gone through this , if so how did you get a handle on it ? I use to just throw up if I ate more than my pouch could tolerate but it scared me the other day when I felt so bad from eating too much but could not dump, then I finally fell asleep. I am considering a nutritionalist, has anyone here seen one ? what was required ? was it costly ? is there one in the southside of jacksonville area ? I just do NOT want to end up gaining weight. Is there a group support meeting on saturdays in the mid afternoons ? I work long hours and really need support here. I am going through a lot of changes at work and it is stressing me out. I welcome all in put .. Kathy

Kathy, I cant say I have been thru what you are going thru because I am only 7 weeks out, but based on what you wrote, it appears like you need support more than a nutritionist. Obviously, you have been doing the right thing with your diet based on the success with your weightloss , dont beat yourself up because you have had a rough time lately. Sounds like you need some suggestions and encouragement to get thru these stressful times at work . I know many of us are emotional eaters and unfortunately, that wasn't taken away when we had surgery. Behavior modification and making better choices will be a constant struggle for most of us. I hope you can find a support group in your area that can help you work thru this. Hopefully some of the Jax folks can contact you for their next get together and offer you the support you are looking for. Hang in there Amy

Thank you Amy for the response, I am an emotional eater as well as a love to eat type person, this journey has not been easy and takes a lot of courage which I thought I lacked (I am still learning new things about myself every day) .. and from your profile you are doing GREAT !! I remember my new post op days so please do not let my post trigger future fears .. keep up your hard work .. thanks again, Kathy
