Another Hurricane

well there is another hurricane on the way. everyone that i know is scared that it is going to come over us again. my DH said if they say it is going to he wants to go to his families in georgia. my little trailer won't be standing if it does come over us again. i don't think it will come over us but hey it might. we have only been back home since friday. been trying to get everything right again. i do think we need some hurricane parties since this is hurricane season, lol. so how is everyone tonight? angie

Frances needs to go east into the Atlantic away from people. I thought hurricane Charlie was very stressful...this one will be a lot worse. I think a hurricane party would be great. It's scary not really knowing where it's going to go. Good luck with getting everything right again and good luck this weekend. Rita

I'm on the West Coast of FL but have an appointment with my surgeon for the pre-op consult at Cleveland Clinic Weston on Friday. Frances worries me. If I keep my appointment, I may run into her on the east coast, and if she keeps heading west as whe is right now, I may not be able to get home after my appointment. Perhaps she'll just decide the North Atlantic looks good, and head northeast away from everyone. Charley was enough...go away, Frances!

Hi Linda, My wife Dawn has her 2 week pre-op. visiit with Dr. Rosenthal friday also. We live in Orlando and are worried about getting caught in the storm also. We just have to cross our fingers and hope for the best. maybe we will see each other at the Cleveland clinic. My wife's appointment is at 1:30. Good Luck to you.

Hi Omar, I was over at the clinic today for my cardiac consult and my first session with the dietician. Given the predictions I heard this morning prior to leaving Naples, I decided to change my pre-op appointment to Tuesday. By then we'll all know where Frances goes. Please convey my good wishes to your wife. I pray all goes smoothly and that her recovery is an easy one.

I'm also praying that Frances turns north and heads out to sea. I don't want Florida to get hit and I don't want South Carolina to get hit, either!! Keep praying and maybe she will turn away!! We don't really need another disaster in this state! Jan

I've certainly been watching the news very closely. The weatherman here says there really still is no definate path for this hurricane. I know earlier today they said it might hit around Daytona, then tonight it may hit lower than that or if the air pressure does this, blah blah blah. I am PRAYING that this thing just stays out in the ocean and no one has to suffer from this terrible storm! I live in a mobile home and certainly dont want to lost my home. If it looks like it's coming this way, we'll pack up a few things and go to Valdosta for a couple of days, it's only 2 hours away. We would go to a shelter, but they won't let you take your pets and I CAN NOT leave my baby behind ( a chihuahau mix). I pray for all of us this thing just stays out!

Kim, Just an FYI for future... during Charley there were several shelters that were open that allowed pets. Once they filled up, some churches and other locations opened us for residents with pets too. That made me feel good to know that so many folks feel our pets are special too. Amy
