I got home from Maryland last night and have today off then back to work and chaos tomorrow. Lots to do today and anxious to pick up my pooches from the kennel. I am sure they missed me I'll try to catch up on responding to posts and email later today too. Back to the Q of the D: What was your first job????? My first official job was the summer after highschool with the YMCA working at an Elementary school in Tampa as an after-school daycare program worker. Have a great day, Friends!

Welcome home. I had almost forgotten, but your job reminded me of my actual first job. I was hired (with two other 14 yr. old girls) by our school's PTA to watch a nursery during meeting times once a month. Don't remember what I got paid but it was fun! LuvitsunnyV@goal

Welcome back Amy! Glad you had a safe trip. My first job was at Frisch's Big Boy when I was 15. I was a waitress there and HATED it! My manager was a complete jerk and would move up the clock so he could say I was late. Being 15 I wasn't supposed to work past 8pm, but they would make me work til like 9 or so. I finally quit.

My first job was when I was 16. I worked part time for the water department at city hall. I forgot what it is called but I went to school part time and worked part time....I think it was DCT or something like that. Pretty good job actually for a 16 year old kid. Wanda

WELCOME HOME AMY!!! Glad to see you made it home safe. My first job was working in my grandfather's grocery store at the age of 16. It was a small neighborhood kind. Little bit of everything. He had a woman that ran it during school hours and then I came straight there from school and all day Saturdays. I was stock person, cashier and meatcutter. It was pretty cool job since I was my own boss. I met my first husband there.(He lived in neighborhood). Not really a great point of the job but I did get 2 great kids out of the marriage. Carol

Welcome home...how were all the games this past weekend? After I left my first husband and moved back to the states, I got a job for about 2 weeks waitressing...I really hated it. After that I worked for a cleaning company cleaning the local paper mill...I loved that, had to wear hardhat and steeltoed boots. I was the only woman back in the woodyard...it was a flirt fest! I know I gave my first 2 jobs, but 2 weeks waitressing was pretty short job..but I was 18 and wanted to have fun, not work. Tracey

My first job In Brazil was as an English teacher (ESOL) for children. I was 17. Made no $ at all, my first pay check allowed me to buy a t-shirt!! When I was 19 I moved to the US (Orlando, FL.) I was hired as a cancan girl/waitress at Church Street Station (I had lost a lot of weight, plus u know us Brazilians can move). Now the $$$$ was coming in!! The tips were awesome, the bad part was that I had to pull them out of my garders... Men are such pigs... oh well! Later on I was moved to Pleasure Island. It was so much fun. Met my ex-husband () there and got married and fat again!!! AARRGHHHH.... Now, why did you make me think of that!?? Anyway, those first jobs were great!! Flavia
