Guess what I did last night!!
Now I had my surgery Oct. 12 and I really have felt well since. I still have a lot of weight but my energy level is so much higher.
Last night we went to Apalachicola to the Annual Seafood Festival. It has been a tradition to go every year for about 10 years. Well, last year I could barely walk around. We actually had to sit down many times just cause my legs and feet and back and......(you know). Last night I walked around for a couple hours and never got tired. I enjoyed it so much and really had a great time with hubby just strolling around holding hands and seeing the sights.
I am a happy woman.

What a great way to spend time with your hubby! I don't eat seafood (which is one of my post-op concerns since everyone says that is the best way to get in protein) but the festival looks like a lot of fun. As for not having leg/feet/back .... pain, I just hope I'm as lucky. I've been on bed rest for almost a month now due to back pain (a partially herniated disk) and my fat cells have invited ALL their friends to move on in!!
If I don't get approved soon I'm gonna need a double-wide gurney at the hospital.
Keep up the good work - you're an inspiration!

Congratulations! Yes I agree... a few weeks can make a huge difference. It can be so hard to believe sometimes! What did you eat while you were there? I too love Apalachicola. I wish I had known about the festival. I think I'll do it next yr. Did Susan (from Dr Webb's office) tell you that she is quitting? I hate that!!! She is always such a comfort not to mention so knowledgeable.
