Got my clearance !!!

Came back from the wish center in Tampa today--met with Dr. Dicicco and went over my pre op test results--got a date with destiny sooner than I thought. 1/7/2005--next Friday. Wish center has a support group that meets monthly. I am looking for additional support in the Tampa Bay area---anyone know of any open support groups for bariatric surgery or interested in starting a small group to meet on a more frequent basis.

Thanx for the good wishes!! Guess Im a little bit anxious--and a little bit scared---comes with the turf I guess. At the age of 58 and tipping the scales at 450 pounds. Have done it all--Optifast---doctors diets----weigh****chers----my own common sense diet----lots of success, but nothing permenant---always gained it back, plus some.----I have been fortunate, no serious co-morbidities---test results came back great. Just boils down to getting it to work once and for all. By the way---have you ever seen an 80 year old fat guy? Thanx again. STU

Stu, Come to think of it, I havent seen many fat 80 y/o but then again, I doubt we travel in the same circles. I dont play much shuffleboard or indulge in many early bird dinners ... yet LOL . Congrats!!!!! I am going thru the wish center also. If I find any other support group I'll let you know. I am most definetly interested in starting a small group. God Bless keep us updated. Natalia
