Moving to FL

Hi there, We will be relocating to FL in June and I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a support group?? I am not really for sure if we will be in Miami-Dade area or the Ft. Lauderdale area (still house hunting) but wanted to get a feel of whats available and commuting wouldn't be a problem. Thanks!! Kim 11/17/03 307/136

I know the Cleveland Clinic in Weston has a good program with support groups. I've also heard good things about South Miami Hospital's group, but that might be a little far if you are in Ft. L. I attend my surgeon's group at Jackson Memorial, but at this point I would think the others are better, although I haven't been to them, but comparing mine to the ones I went to in Ohio, it needs some work....I hope to talk to my surgeon and see if she is open to some suggestions.

I had my surgery in Fort Lauderdale at Holy Cross Hospital. My surgical group offers wonderful support and not just to their patients - - I attend the monthly meetings there and in Miami both. i go to the cleveland clinic one... i also go to another one thats pretty good... not sure of the name... and its not hospital run... e-mail me if you want more info
