DENIED!!!

Well I talked to Susan from Dr. Murr's office and she said I was denied......I called the insurance company and they told me that they didn't mention specific reasons for it to be medically necessary.....what being almost 400 lbs isnt a necessity in itself??...so then the insurance company told me they couldn't tell me any more of that, that my PCP has to call and get all the specifics of why it was denied...so I called my PCP and they will call and told me to call them back after 1 this afternoon......so here I sit and wait again....hope I can find out something that is easy to take care of...have a great day all.... Im sorry.. I was denied before so I understand exactlly what you are going through,... it sucks its not fair and you get depressed. BUT. take some of that sadness and write the insurance company make copies of your letter and sent it every dang day you can. send it till they get so sick of seeing your letters... pehaps talk to a supervisor of staywell or maybe talk to your pcp when he or she finds out why it was denied.. maybe it was denied for somthing simple maybe some paper work was not fiilled out right or maybe the doc put something down that was not right.. it could be a number of things... But DONT GIVE UP! sending hugs and kisses and positive energy your way.....!

Jeeez. Im so sorry that you were denied. Best of luck in your approval with your next shot! Keep your head up, now you'll know what you need to do and then hopefully it will be easier to get it done! IM still waiting on approval myself - so Im rooting for ya!

Don't give up April!!! You stay strong girl. I just had my surgery three weeks ago with Dr. Murr's office........don't you worry You could not have a better advocate than Susan on your side. She knows how to fight these insurance companies....she's been through this procedure herself and she understands the emotional roller coaster you are experiencing!!! You must keep your head off you have chosen a wonderful surgical team that is not afraid to fight for you. You stay strong, keep motivated and do exactly what they tell you....like another post said you did not hear the word "excluded" so you have plenty of opportunities to fight this.
