Gina, I honestly didn't have any pain. I had some discomfort but no real pain. I wanted to make sure I had no pain so I took my pain meds in the hosptial and for a few days when I got home. I am very grateful that I didn't have pain. I attribute that fact to my wonderful surgeon, Dr. Kim. I also did everything they told me to do. Good luck! Rhonda

The first person that I met (or that I remember meeting, LOL) after surgery was Nurse Connie. She gave me terrific advice that kept me pain-free: Don't be a pain martyr. USE your morphine pump (or whatever you are given). That puppy and I became fast friends, and I also made sure that I didn't "overdo" my walking around the unit. Like Rhonda (hi, Rhonda!) I too attribute the low level of pain to my surgeon, Dr. Kim. Looking back, the pain of my everyday pre-op life was far worse than my post-op discomfort. Kristen
