Happy (Re)Birthday to Me!
Today is my one year anniversary being a post-op 
! I can't even begin to tell you all what a difference this past year has been in my life. I went into surgery at 432lb with horrible depression, miserable back pain, no ambition, a lack of energy and a plethora of other co-morbidities. Today, I am 180lb lighter, no longer on any meds (except for my allergies), love life, have virtually no aches and pains and am never home cause I have lots of energy and a desire to face the world head on 
.
This surgery has given me hope back and brought me back to the person I used to be both physically and emotionally. I have confidence, dreams and a future again! For those of you who have known me thru the board and our little Meet and Greets, I want to thank you all for being such a support system for me, offering me friendship, encouragement and advice ~ I couldnt have gone thru this process alone, the FL board was a lifeline to me for so long, especially in the beginning. I know I'm not an integral part of the board these days, mostly because I needed to take a break from the computer and refocus on things aside from my WLS, but I still read it daily and am so glad that the board continues to carry on and offer others all the support it once gave to me.
Thanks again to each of you who have been there for me this past year and to all those who make this board such a wonderful place! The OH.com community holds a special place in my heart and always will

Congratulations Amy, It has been amazing to hear from you throughout your journey and see you blossom into the lovely gal you are...always were just forgot where she was (that is what I tell my husband) I started my process right when you had your surgery and enjoyed watching you change. Keep up the good work and may you continue on a journey full of learning and happiness.

Amy, congratulations on your anniversary and on losing 180 lbs. this past year. It IS amazing how fast the time has gone! I "knew" you when and have been able to track your progress and you have been MY inspiration this past year! I could see how you were able to do more and more as the weight came off and how much happier you became.
Although I'm sorry that you're not on the board as much now, I know it's only because you're enjoying your life and that's what this journey was for in the first place! You don't have to be isolated at home on a computer anymore, but you can be out and about and doing things! Good for you, my friend!!
Life isn't about WLS, but it's what it took to get us back into the main stream again. Thanks for your participation on the board and in organizing the Meet 'N Greets!!

I do not know where to begain. Other than to first CONGRATULATE you on your Rebirthday. And then to Thank you for being on the boards when you went through all your changes. It was great to hear how your WLS was working, along with so many others that continue to inspire those of us that are waiting on WLS or just starting the journey. I have met some wonderful friends through the Boards and our Meet & Greets. I wish you continued happiness always.
