ride to Orlando from port orange

Patti....Lynda told me about this post....so I thought I'd pop over to the Florida board and say hello. Florida Cracker is off by a few miles. Actually I live in Daytona Beach Shores...right over the bridge. I call it Port Orange-beachside. Anyway....you are more than welcome to ride over with us.....however....Lynda is flying up here on Wednesday...we will play golf and have fun...then we drive down to West Palm Beach on Thursday for an appointment and we plan to drive directly from WPB to Orlando. Then we have a makeover scheduled for Friday morning...then shopping....then dinner....then City Walk with the gang. We also plan to stay over on Sunday. So we won't be coming back to Daytona before we go to Orlando. I really wish there was a way...and Lynda and I have IM'd a lot and can't seem to find a solution. So we are looking at other ways to get you there. You are more than welcome to join in on Friday evening and hang out with all of us on Saturday and Sunday if you are staying over. There is one other little dilemma I have going. An old and dear friend is losing her husband to cancer. He is in the last stages now. I talk with her every day and offer what pitiful comfort I can....and she has asked me to come help her when he dies. I am heart broken about it (not helping but the fact that he's dying)...he's a fantastic human being and a wonder teacher. She told me that since the word is out...students, old and current....are filing in to say goodbye. Its soooo sad. So there is always the possiblilty that I might have to leave Orlando....and fly to Texas. I might not even get to go to the OH event....but I do hope so. So there you have it....I am also a renown DRAMA QUEEN.....so you can see how it is with me. Drop me an email and we'll get together.... Hugs from over the bridge Charlie

Hi Charlie: Wow! What a schedule. Sounds like loads of fun. No, I can't stay over. But, hey, thanks for the invite! My best wishes to your dear friend! That's a rough one. Let's keep our fingers crossed that someone else is going that I can hook up with. Those of us who live around here need to get together. I'm working on starting a chapter. Patti--I am not good on my Florida geography--but will the people coming from Jax be going by your area? TerrieB posted on the other thread she was coming from there and had room
