that I can eat. I'm REALLY tired of low fat soups and crackers... and of course mashed potatoes!!! Its all I can eat without feeling like I've gotten something stuck! Oh I forgot the tuna and crackers. I'm sick of that too!!! Anyone have any ideas for me! I'm trying to watch my fat intake as well as my sugar. ANY help is surely appreciated!!! Oh I'm on a soft diet!! Thanks, Lori

Protein first should be the rule, but I know it is hard when you haven't had much restricition prior to surgery. See if you can ride out the mental anxiety of not having diversity right now because this period is such a small part of your entire WLS journey. Having said that, I know it is frustrating and boring to eat the same things over and over again so...these are probably not on your approved list, but were suggested to me when I was ready to pull my hair out during the soft food stage: egg salad, hummus, creamed spinach, cottage cheese, soft scrambled eggs with cream cheese, over cooked broccoli/cauliflower and ricotta cheese with a bit of spaghetti sauce mixed in and nuked. Just remember your pouch is very sensitive now and straying can cause you discomfort and aggrevation. Hang in there, you will be able to expand your choices soon Amy -180lb.

Lori, for a change I would go to Taco Bell for there Pintos and Cheese. Hope it helps. Just be patient, the narrow road will get wider, as you get narrower. Keep the faith. tina

Hey Lori-I know this is too late for last nights dinner, but thought I'd offer my two cents for the future. At your stage I lived on tuna fish, egg salad, ground turkey in tomato sauce and stuff like that. Try eating a small amount of some soft protein--it will help for the future. Good luck.
