Need Referral Dr. in Melbourne, FL

I just recently moved to FL and need to find a Family Dr. that supports and can be my Dr. for the follow up care should I have bariatric surgery. Can anyone suggest a good doctor (internal medicine) that is in the Melbourne, FL area? The Dr. I met with today just was not a warm and caring Dr. I would like to share my life with. Thanks.

Hi Caren, I live in Rockledge and have a great Internal Med. PCP named Dr. Aziz. He is taking new patients and although he is hard to get to know at first, he is great at taking helping me with everything I need. I am hands on with my care (learned the hard way to be****ep track of all blood tests needed and let him know when I need something done. We also talk about my weight issues and he has been 100% supportive of the WLS. He told me his concens with possible Plumanary Ebolism (sp) & wound infection, but said that I was a good canidate, do my research and when I needed a reveral, he would write it. I don't know the docs in Melbourne, so I really can't help you. You might call Dr Tenewitz's office (he use to do WLS) and see who they recommend. Dr. T's office is off Wickham Rd near Wuesthoff Hospital. Hope this helps. Lori

Lori, I am a pharmacy tech at the Super Target in Viera and I have also heard good things about Dr. Aziz. I know how tough it is finding pro WLS doctors. Dr. Tenewitz would be great for follow-up care and support. He is a baraitric surgeon who is not doing surgery at the moment but he does se WL patients. They also have monthly support group meetings.
