QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Hi all!
I hope you are having a wonderful stress free week!
I just landed a contract for a school fundraiser. Looks like I will be making about 2000 scented candles! Yikes! I am not sure how it is all going to work out because I should be having surgery in Sept. if (WHEN!) I get approved. The FR is for xmas but the kids start taking orders in Sept. I wouldn't start making the candles until mid- or the end of Oct. If I have open RNY in say mid to late Sept. do you all think I will be able to handle the candle account? I will have help and I will not lift anything. I can't as a pre-op anyway. Honest opinions all... I TRUST you guys! Oh BTW, did I mention I homeschool all 4 of our children as well? hehehe
Do you work better under stress or in a calm environment?
for me? I LOVE the calmness when it comes but in a household of 6 with the 4 kids home all day... I work well under stress. I do have to have a break every now and then or I get FRUMPY!!
I like deadlines! I suddenly become efficient when I am pressured.

Good morning Sallykate.
I am to have my surgery in Sept also. I just got a letter from the surgeons office to have my preop clearance with my PCP the end of this month. Just a matter of the new hospital getting opened up for business.
I am not post op so it would be difficult for me to answer the first question. Good luck to you though.
Once upon a time I worked well under stress. Stress was my middle name.
But I need a calm atmosphere now.

SallyKate, I was back at my job with the Federal Government the week after I had WLS. It is a desk job, but high stress. I did just fine. You will be able to do this and you will feel fine. If you get tired, then just rest!
Good luck to you on your approval.
In answer to your question, bring on the deadlines!

I get lazy if things are too calm ! I guess I work well under stress and believe me it has been a stressful year. I'm still working in a trailer in our parking lot waiting for our office to be rebuilt from last years hurricane.
I have over 4000 customers who had major damage and still have 274 not back in their homes yet. I am an insurance agent.

Evening SallyKate, well, not exactly what I'd call a stress free week. Everything has been chaotic to say the least. When it comes to work, the more stressfull the better, I find it challenging and fun. I always get lifted eyebrows and confused looks, even amongst peers, when I tell them that I love trauma and I love the problems that come with it. There are so many factors in play and I love sorting them out, finding or inventing a new way to deal with something and of course I love coming out on top but it doesnt always happen that way. I miss working, can you tell?
