Hospital Costs

Hi Friends...I'm trying to do some research and am asking you to provide what/how much your hospital bill was for gallbladder surgery, vascular surgery, appendectomy, hernia, tummy tuck, or colostomies. If you had any of these surgeries (past or present). Doesn't have to be exact, just a ballpark figure, and not necessarily what you paid. For example my hospital bill was around $18,000. Can you share? I sure appreciate it!

What kind of vascular surgery. I work for a vascular surgeon, I can tell you what we charge.

I only worry about the co-pay. For my weight loss surgery, my total bill was less than $1000. That was with paying extra for a private room.

Hi Ruth, Just wanted to let you know that I've lost 19.5 pounds so far...Yeah!! My cost for WLS at Monroe was $13,875 and so far I haven't received anything else. My cost was $500 co-pay to Monroe. Hope this helps. I'll be interested to see what other costs you come up with here. Take care, Lori

Hi Ruth! I don't remember at all what my hospital costs were. I jst paid my $co-pay--which was not very much. However--I just got a quote for plastics and the hopital portion alone for a six hour surgery with one night stay is 6K!!!!!
