Question for you all, need some info

HI, my second cousin is here visiting from Ocala , FL. I had my surgery 11 weeks ago, down 52 pounds, she is VERY interested in having the surgery. Her insurance is Medicare/Medicaid, does anyone know of any doctors who might take this insurance, or if you have it where did you go? She is here all day so if you have any info please respond asap, or call my house 215 536 0201 this way she can get the ball rolling. Appreciate all of your help!!! Hi Melissa, My husband and I both had our surgeries at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida (near Ft. Lauderdale) with Dr. Raul Rosenthal. We both have Medicaid. They also have a clinic in Naples but I'm not sure if they accept Medicaid or Medicare. Sincerely, Dawn Post-Op 9/23/04 399/245/200

There are two bariatric surgeons in Ocala. Dr. Jawad does not accept Medicare because he has YET to have a Medicare claim paid!! Medicare does not require pre-authorization and they just simply don't pay no matter what. The other surgeon in town is Dr. Overcash, but I have no idea if he will take Medicare or not. I wish your cousin good luck!!

Dr. Rehnke in ST. Pete takes medicare/medicaid.....Healthease/staywell. You can give them a call and they will send an information packet including what your insueance requires. He did my surgery and I highly reccommend him to anyone wanting to have it done. Tammy

Hi melissa, I am 4 weeks post-op and I am not sure how much down, last time I was 19lbs I am feeling ok, now anwsering your question, my Dr. is Dr. Samuel Cox in Ftlauderdale he takes medicaid/florida medipass and he and his staff are great, gime them a call and Carey will answer all your questions he is a doll. 954-928-0066.
