:'( lower back pain
I had lap RNY 18 months ago and have lost 140 pounds. I never had any sort of back problems, unless I was standing for many hours, like at an amusement park or some similar place. Since losing the weight, I've had a lot of lower back pain. I had an MRI and, from the medical lingo on the report I was given, I have two herniated discs. How is it possible that I had no problems before and now, I do??? I'm in pain daily now. Has anyone had a similar problem?

I actually did go see a chiropractor and he was just scary! He didn't warm up my back at all, but just laid me down and started cracking away. When he got to my lower back it didn't crack at all. I thought he was going to break something. I won't go back to him.
I've had upper back problems before, years ago, from a pinched nerve and had great success with going to the chiropractor, but this feels very different. I'm thinking it would be more damaging.
I'm headed to my regular doc, in hopes that she can help. I didn't worry about it for a while, but it's just gotten so much worse over the last month or so.
Thanks for the advise.

Don't feel bad., I found out that I have DDD, bad siatica {SP?} in my lower back. I have completed 3 epidural shots that have helped with the siatica but has not relieved much of the lower back pain still. Today has been bad but until I can get to the doctor or get another opinion I am thinking about getting there aint much I can do. Good Luck to you.
