EXERCISE WORKS AND IS IMPERATIVE TO YOUR WEIGHT LOSS! Hi guys, I just had to "exclaim that." I have not felt like I was losing at a fast enough rate and have not been abale to exercise much due to being so weak from the dehydration. Well I have also had a horrific cold but decided that I HAD to start somewhere and so I did. I decided to just do what I could do and be happy with that.... I started 3 days ago and put my heart and soul into it and in those 3 days, I have lost 6 pounds! That's 2 pounds a day! SO I am now at 280lbs and -56lbs! I know this is not much of a weight loss compared to most but it feels great and is the most I have ever lost at one time. Yesterday was a milestone for me because I weighed 285lbs in January 2004 when I had my pulmonary embolism afterwhich I was put on Zoloft and gained almost 60 lbs. This is the first time I have weighed less than 285lbs in 2 years. I am ecstatic!! My energy is crazy! I love working out and even have gotten my kids doing it with me. I do the walk away the pounds 1 mile walk DVD. That in itself is amazing because I have had to use a wheel chair for shopping. I could not even walk from the theater to the parking lot. Last night we took the kids to see king kong and I walked all the way to the parking lot w/o even a huff or a puff and we parked FAR away. I am feeling great! Slowly but surely I am getting my life back and I LOVE it! Hugs, Sallykate

Keep moving sista!!!! That's right - excercise is the key to staying alive! I to have been walking on my treadmill every day - granted it started out as 15 min 1/4 mile but I'm up to 1/2 mile in 20 mins - for me who had ZERO excercising prior to the surgery It might as well be 3 miles but every day I add a few more step. I put on my head phones and sing my Gloria Estefan inspiration tune - GET ON YOUR FEET @ the top of my lungs... am I HELL YA! but I'm a healthy if you know what I mean! I'm really proud of you and hey - don't knock a 56lb weight loss be PROUD!!!!!! Barbi
