there is a pic of me when i post ...
Tina, Congratulations.
I just read your profile, and you have a lot to be proud of. I would like to offer a couple of suggestions, change your profile to reflect your current BMI, and get rid of all of your big clothes. I have found that these are two things that help me.
Updating my B.M.I. I can look at my profile and see a BMI of 27, instead of 42, and it helps to remind me of where I am, and that this is working. I know that if my B.M.I. is 27 I can't really be as fat as I think I am, when I look in the mirror. It helps with the poor self image.
By getting rid of my clothes, as soon as I get to small for them, I send a message to myself, that I am never going back to those bigger sizes. I have gone froma 56" waist and 4x shirts to a 34" waist and medium/large shirts. If what I'm wearing starts to get too snug, I have to change my eating habits, and lose some of the excess weight, because I don't have any bigger clothes. These are just little tricks that I use to keep myself honest.
By the way, your picture looks great, you should be very proud of yourself.
Congratulations,
Steve
YOu've done great Tina!
It takes time for our mind to catch up with our bodies. I agree with Steve...get rid of the big clothes. I only kept 2 outfits so I could see what I was wearing. Went from 20-22 to size 3. Perhaps a thrift store? I go to the salvation army in casselberry. On mondays they have 50% off, go there and get some size 14's. Start wearing the clothes to fit your body today, and then get smaller ones as you need them. Enjoy the new body and the new you.... We hid behind tents for so long, we still think we need them. You worked hard to get into those 14's...so go for it girlfriend. We'll help cheer you on in this journey. That is what this site is all about. Encouraging eachother through the journey...and as we maintain.
Thanks for posting the pic, it is really pretty.
Blessings,
Tami
