support groups

I had weight loss surgery on sept 6,2005 i have been out of state and i need to know if there are any support groups in the Lakeland ,Winter Haven Florida area ??Please let me know i need to get in a support group because it really helps me ...thanks so much

I have attended support group sessions at Florida Hospital in Celebration which isn't too far from Winter Haven. Check out the US Bariatrics website for the dates and times, they used to be held on a Wed night. I did not have surgery with this group, but went to a couple support group meetings and thought they were helpful. Glad to see that you are seeking out support.

thanks so much Amy i am going tomorrow night at the Celebration i talked so some people on the wls chatline and they told me about it ...thanks it is about 40 min from me and they said anyone could come i am really excited about it i went to a couple of support groups in new jersey where i had my surgery and they do help...thanks again hon if you ever get the chance come again ....thanks Bev
