No Pregnancy Guarantee
I had been unmarried for 13 years at the time of my RNY and my doctor wanted a written statement that I would not get pregnant for one year post op. I laughed and told him if he wanted a guarantee he would have to tie my tubes while he was in there. Now, on one level I was serious as I did not want any more children, one was enough. But he looked at me stone faced serious and said, you know, I have never done that, but I can see if I can find them when I am in there. I signed the guarantee with a notation "after tubal ligation". My motto is never make a promise you may not be able to keep, especially one that requires your name signed on a dotted line. By the way, he found them!
