I went for my first adjustment on my Lapband last Friday and was put under the x-ray thingie.. While I was laying there, my doc was guiding me all around my insides, telling me, this is your band, this is your port... Any questions? I said, yes, what are those clamp looking things and that long thin thing?? He looked a little confused while looking at the screen and said, Well, did you maybe swallow a pin or something??? I said UM NO! I haven't swallowed a PIN! He said, are you sure? Have you swallowed ANYTHING metal?? I said NO! By now I am freaking out, thinking THIS DOCTOR LEFT SOMETHING IN ME AND NOW HE IS PLAYING COY! I noticed clamps (about 8 of them) and then a long thin thing, obviously this was the "pin"... Right when I was about to jump up and run away, he said, well if you didn't swallow a pin then I guess it's your bra... LOL The worst part was that I was wearing a "welfare" bra, one of the wires had come out but I love the bra anyway.. So there I am with only one wire! He said, Well, I guess I know all of your secrets now... LOL

My seven year old daughter has been very inquisitive about my upcoming wls. She asks me all the time how small I will get and will I be able to do this or that and so on. One day, just to tease her a little, I told her when I got skinny enough I wanted to wear some of her cute little panties. She got very tickled and told me that she didn't think I could fit into her panties even if I got really skinny because I was a grown up. She has this really cute pair of blue panties with a monkey on them and I told her I was going to try and wear them. She just laughed at me. Well, a few days later, she was in my mother's office talking to her uncle when I happened to walk into the laundry room across the hall. I could hear the conversation loud and clear. My brother was asking her about what she thought it would be like to have a smaller mom when my daughter says, "I don't know for sure, but I know one thing. If she thinks she's getting into my big monkey drawers, she's crazy!" I sure wish I could have seen the look on my baby brother's face for that one!

Carmen I know this is an old post but I just found it and about fell out of my chair! That sound like something my son would say...he's all into that kind of stuff right now. (he's 15) Thanks for the laugh!!! Rhonda
